These very unique and handmade cufflinks use totally different from what you may have seen before. Mokume-gane is a Japanese metalworking procedure which produces a mixed-metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns. In this case Silver and copper is used. Mokume-gane translates closely to ‘wood grain metal’.
The small Mokume-gane square has been added to an handmade sterling silver cufflink. The Mokume-gane, overtime will develop a beautiful patina which will make it even more beautiful and prominent.
